Broadstone Real Estate was formed in 2006 to continue the real estate investment and management activities of its founders, Norman Leenhouts and Amy and Robert Tait. Based in Rochester, New York, Broadstone Real Estate currently serves as the sponsor of two private Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and manages commercial and residential properties located in 26 states. Broadstone is also a Registered Investment Advisor, and is a certified woman-owned business enterprise. Its primary activities are focused in the following three areas:
- Broadstone Net Lease is a private REIT that invests in freestanding, single-tenant, absolute net-leased properties located throughout the United States. It currently owns 173 medical, industrial and retail properties in 26 states.
- Broadtree Homes, Inc., is a private REIT that invests in single-family homes for rental in several markets, currently in Monroe County, New York and Palm Beach County, Florida.
- Broadstone's commercial division actively manages several multi-tenant office and retail properties in the Rochester, New York area for affiliated and third-party owners.
